Our Story
How We Got Here
We were set up on a blind date over Christmas break. Dinner turned into hours of talking, and by the end of the night we both knew we didn't want it to be the last one.
A few months later the Navy sent Owen back east, and we found out what it means to love someone from two time zones away. It wasn't easy. We got through it with late-night FaceTime calls, real letters in real mailboxes, visits whenever we could manage them, and a lot of prayer. Somewhere in the middle of all that, we stopped wondering if this would work and started planning a life together.
We love Jesus, and we spend an embarrassing amount of time making each other laugh. We still don't agree on which of us is funnier, so we've decided to give that argument a lifetime to settle itself. The long-distance chapter is finally over. Now comes the good part.
To everyone who prayed for us, checked on us, and loved us through every mile: thank you. We can't wait to celebrate with you, and to thank God for bringing us together.
